GoFix® WBS ST

The GoFix^® angle bracket screw (WBS) Strong is made of hardened carbon steel, which is specially designed for joints with steel plates. The special screw geometry reduces the gap effect during screw-in and, together with the scraper groove, ensures that the screw ‘bites’ quickly. The increased shank diameter of the screw ensures higher shear forces between the steel plate and the timber. The screw’s special undercut head geometry ensures excellent structural performance, thanks to a interlocking effect between the screw and the plate. Furthermore, the bevel-free geometry of the head reduces stress concentration points and enhances the screw’s strength.

Application notes

Conditionally corrosion-resistant and suitable for use in service classes 1 and 2 according to DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5)
Not suitable for wood containing tannins.

Material

Hardened carbon steel + electro-galvanised blue. Free from chromium(VI) oxide. Good resistance to mechanical stress.
